I was bored yesterday and said I would draw a planet for :iconbreezyhope:'s story.

I was unable to make it a perfect circle, so I tried adjusting it with the transform option. This was the best I could do. If it still looks wonky maybe someone could give me advice on fixing it.

The topography is stunning and very convincing! I love the variation in what looks like more forested areas and the yellowish "sandy" areas.

I'm surprised that it actually looks somewhat planet'like. If I ever do another one in the far off future. I'll work at a high resolution and be sure to do a good job on everything.

I used the elliptical marquee tool, but I did not know that holding shift could get me a perfect circle. *learned something new*

Lol. XD Yeah, I remember when I learned that. That was a good day... Shift will also give you straight lines and sometimes diagonals depending on your program...

It's funny that I know some more complicated things with photoshop but the really simple stuff always makes me look like a noob hahahaha

I do know how to make straight lines that was one of the first things I learned

Lol, sounds like me. I don't ever really read instructions or take classes. That's one of the down sides of teaching yourself something...

XD I was kinda joking about the straight lines, I'm glad you know that.

This is so cool!
Don't worry about it being perfectly round, real planets aren't perfectly spherical anyways.
